Kyndal Jennings Art · Shop and admin · 2026
An artist’s shop she runs herself, from catalogue to checkout.
A shop for a White River artist, selling originals and prints online, with an admin she runs on her own.

Problem
Kyndal Jennings draws South African wildlife and sells it three ways: one-off originals, limited prints and commissions. She needed a shop that could take payment in rand, sell each original exactly once, and change with her work: a new monthly feature, new pieces, new prices. She runs it alone, so every one of those changes had to be something she could make without phoning anyone, and none of them could leave a page broken.
Build
Next.js on Vercel, with the catalogue, orders and page copy in Supabase. Checkout runs through Paystack, since Stripe does not serve South African merchants. The server reprices every basket from the catalogue rather than trusting the browser, and an original is reserved before the buyer is sent to pay, so two people checking out at once cannot both buy the same drawing. Addresses are typed against Mapbox suggestions, and the delivery rate follows the country. From the admin she adds artwork, edits the text and pictures on every page, sets delivery rates and reads her messages. A cleared field falls back to the wording the site shipped with, so no edit can blank a section.
